Work from Home Chaos
Imagine what it would be like to work from home…
You could make your own schedule, work as little or as much as you want, and determine the amount of income that you produce. It sounds so alluring, and I actually thought that making a substantial income from home might be possible. And I will tell you that making money from the internet at home is completely possible – but it lacks the freedom I thought would come with it.
Currently I work a full time job, but with a recent acquisition many of those (and myself) are wondering if I will eventually lose my job. So I started looking for other alternatives. Working at home seemed to be the best alternative since my hours are hard to work around and I want to return to college. I have been able to make some income from the internet, but with limitations. Balancing life and work has become almost impossible, because what was free time is now turning into work. Somehow life is getting lost in the process.
My internet job is as a freelance writer, which I love but am overworked and underpaid. It is wonderful when the ideas flow – but it is torture when they stop. And recently, that has been the trend.
I have made sacrifices in the attempt to work from home, and if you choose to work from home you will face that decision too. This is especially true if at home work is your second job. But with hard work and determination it is possible.
Imagine what it would be like to find balance…that is the next quest.
P.S. I will let you know how I am making money on the internet, how to work from home, how to balance work, home, and freelancing…in future posts.
I can see the positives and negatives of working from home. I’m a writer and sometimes I do work from home. It is difficult to be a writer and get paid “good money.” My advice to you is even if you feel like you are tired and you have writer’s block, just keep on writing. You can always edit yourself later.
